The 17th meeting of the Technical Committee on Railways of the Transport Community will focus on two main agenda items. Firstly, participants will discuss and present the Final Draft of the Progress Report detailing the implementation of the Rail Action Plan, a collaborative effort with regional partners, set to be adopted in upcoming meetings. Secondly, the meeting will address the TC Secretariat’s drafted TEN-T report, which explores the potential extension of the TEN-T Rail Network into the Western Balkans, enabling participants to discuss the report’s findings regarding the state of the rail network in the region and its alignment with TEN-T requirements. The agenda will also encompass updates on legislative changes related to the TEN-T Network and ongoing infrastructure projects, along with the presentation of the finalised report on the Railway Market Study, completed in August 2023.
